Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Death Doula?

A death doula assists with the dying process through personal care, support, and advocacy. Death doula services can start as early as family discussions about end of life wishes during estate planning or after a diagnosis, and extend until long after the individual’s passing through bereavement and memorial services.

My loved one receives hospice care, can they use your services, too?

Death doula services are a beneficial complement to hospice care. As part of my services, I will coordinate with your hospice providers to ensure all aspects of care are covered. While hospice care often faces rigid eligibility requirements, my services are more flexible to meet your needs.

Where can your services be received?

My services can be utilized at home, in senior living communities, hospitals, or nursing home settings. I will come to you, wherever you are to make your experience more comfortable.

How involved are you?

I can be involved as little or as much as you’d like. Whether it’s a one-time educational session or ongoing care, my services are flexible to meet your needs.

What are your credentials?

I have been a home health aide for eight years with Celtic Angels. I became a certified Death Doula in 2022.

How much do your services cost?
